Die Entwickler von Pownce, einem zwar guten, aber wenig erfolgreichen Microblogging-Dienst, haben bekannt gegeben, dass Pownce schon in zwei Wochen schließen wird und sie zu SixApart wechseln werden:
We’re very happy that Six Apart wants to invest in growing the vision that we the founders of Pownce believe so strongly in and we’re very excited to take our vision to all of Six Apart’s products.
Das kann eigentlich nur bedeuten, dass SixApart ins Microblogging-Business einsteigen will, oder?
SixApart schreibt dazu:
I am pleased to announce that today we are welcoming the Pownce team and technology to Six Apart.

Man darf gespannt sein, was da wohl kommen mag. Fest steht jedenfalls, dass SixApart mittlerweile fast im Wochenrhythmus von sich Reden macht und mit aller Macht versucht, seine alte Vormachtstellung im Web 2.0-Gedöns zurückzuerobern.
